Why CUT?

  1. You will learn at one of the best technical universities in Poland. Studying at our university gives you an opportunity to receive thorough education in many fields of study and gain qualifications required by the demanding and fast-changing job market.
  2. We will provide you with a well-balanced range of academic courses in 6 faculties:
    • the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science,
    • the Faculty of Production Engineering and Materials Technology,
    • the Faculty of Electrical Engineering,
    • the Faculty of Civil Engineering,
    • the Faculty of Infrastructure and Environment,
    • the Faculty of Management.
  3. All our engineering courses are accredited by the European Federation of National Engineering Associations in Brussels, which means that the graduates of CUT can receive the title of European engineer.
  4. You will be taught by dedicated staff, whose expertise and unrivalled academic knowledge are well-known both at home and abroad. Our academic staff consists of 153 professors, 467 associate professors and over 150 lecturers, many of whom hold the title of doctor.
  5. As at most universities in the EU countries, at our University operates the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), enabling our students to study at foreign academic institutions.
  6. Our graduates are highly valued by employers and all our courses teach skills essential to a successful career.
  7. We constantly improve our educational offer by introducing new fields of study and sought-after specializations in order to strengthen our graduates' position on the more and more demanding job market. For instance, in the academic year 2009/2010 we introduced full-time engineering studies entirely in English within the European Faculty of Engineering.
  8. All our faculties have academic rights to confer doctoral degrees and three faculties have rights to confer the status of university professor.
  9. Our University participates in many European programmes, including the 7th Framework Programme, the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and the LLP-Erasmus Educational Programme. Read more:

  12. CUT has for you great educational facilities and a comprehensive student infrastructure: state-of-the-art laboratories and lecture halls, three halls of residence, refectories, and a very modern main library as well as faculty libraries.
  13. Situated in the south of Poland just 120 km north of Cracow and 240 km south of capital city - Warsaw, Częstochowa is an ideal city for students. The cost of living and accommodation is relatively low in comparison with other cities. Also travel to other parts of Poland by rail or road is easy.
  14. Częstochowa is an attractive city. It lies in the picturesque Cracow-Częstochowa Upland, offering great opportunities for different forms of active tourism.
